Board of Directors
The Board of Directors provides leadership and strategic direction for the Sampler Consortium International. Our board members bring diverse expertise in textile history, sampler scholarship and curation, women’s education and material culture, fundraising and nonprofit management.
Advisory Council
The Advisory Council is comprised of experts in the field of sampler scholarship and community building. The position of Advisor honors individuals who have contributed in significant ways to our understanding of girlhood needlework and/or to the work of the Sampler Consortium International. Advisors may be asked to serve on SCI committees and attend Board meetings when their expertise would contribute to the Board’s deliberations. Advisors are recommended and approved by the Board of Directors.
Partner Organizations
The Sampler Consortium International encourages institutions and organizations whose goals are aligned with our mission to join as Partner Organizations. Partner Organizations will be able to share information about themselves on the SCI website and will have opportunities to collaborate with the SCI on projects and programs.
Members
Above all else, the Sampler Consortium International is a membership organization that seeks to provide information to its members about sampler scholarship, collections, exhibitions, publications, events, and opportunities to collaborate with like-minded needlework enthusiasts and experts on programs of national and international significance.
