The Sampler Consortium International (SCI) is a global community of scholars, collectors, dealers, curators, archivists, conservators, needlework designers and enthusiasts interested in the study, preservation, and appreciation of schoolgirl samplers and related girlhood embroideries. The purpose of our organization is to bring together individuals and organizations with a shared passion for these artifacts of early female education and women’s material culture, serving as a hub for scholarship, education, and collaboration across borders.
